Steve Storck, a familiar name in the halls of community service and county fair leadership, has been a figure on the Stevens County Fair board for over three decades. With a resume of roles that span from president to vice president, Steve’s dedication to the fair and its mission is unwavering.
Having joined the Stevens County Fair board over 35 years ago, Steve quickly became an integral part of its operations. His tenure has seen him in various key positions, including multiple terms as president, where his leadership and vision guided the fair through numerous successful editions. Today, he continues to serve as the vice president, bringing his wealth of experience and passion to the table.
Steve’s commitment to the fair extends beyond the local level. In 2008, he was elected as the District 7 Director for the Minnesota Federation of County Fairs (MFCF), representing 19 counties in Southwest Minnesota. Over the years, he rose through the ranks within the MFCF, serving as vice president, president, and past president, leaving a lasting impact on the organization’s policies and initiatives.
In January of this year, Steve transitioned to a new role of significance within the fair community. He was elected to represent District 7 (includes the 19 Counties of SW MN.) on the Board of Managers of the Minnesota State Fair, a testament to his reputation and leadership within the broader fair community. This position not only recognizes his contributions but also positions him to continue advocating for the interests of county fairs and agriculture statewide.
Beyond his involvement in fairs, Steve remains actively engaged in various community organizations. He serves as the Town Board Chairman, lending his expertise to local governance. Additionally, he is a valued member of the Morris Coop Board, contributing to the region’s agricultural and economic development. As Captain of the Stevens County Sheriff’s Posse, Steve plays a vital role in ensuring public safety during community events and emergencies.
Steve’s dedication to service is complemented by the support of his wife, Pat, and together, they reside in rural Morris, where their commitment to the community is evident in every endeavor they undertake. Steve Storck’s legacy of leadership, integrity, and service continues to inspire and benefit the Morris community and beyond. Moreover, he actively farms in rural Morris, supporting agriculture and the local farming community.
