The Stevens County Talent Contest is BACK!

Wednesday, August 6 |  5:00–9:00 PM |  SCMC Stage

After several years away from the spotlight, the Stevens County Talent Contest is making a triumphant return to the fairgrounds — and we want YOU to be a part of it!

Whether you’ve been singing in the shower, dancing in your room, cracking jokes at the dinner table, or juggling flaming torches (okay, maybe not at the fair), now’s your chance to take your talent to the big stage. This beloved event is all about showcasing the incredible homegrown talent right here in Stevens County.

The Basics You Need to Know

  • Divisions:
    • Pre-Teen (12 & under)
    • Teen (13–18)
    • Open (All ages – mandatory for 19+)
  • Judging Categories:
Performers will be judged on talentstage presence, and entertainment value. Judges will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division.
  • State Fair Bound!
The 1st place winner in each division will be invited to perform at the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest! If 1st place declines, the offer rolls down to 2nd, and so on.
  • Performance Rules:
    • Acts must be 4 minutes or less
    • USB only for music – no phones, CDs, or laptops
    • Instruments are allowed (but no full bands due to time limits)
  • Check-In: All performers must check in 30 minutes prior to showtime at the SCMC Stage.

Why Enter?

This is your chance to perform in front of a live audience, show off your skills, and maybe even make it to the State Fair stage! Whether you’re in it for fun, the experience, or the spotlight, it’s a night to remember.

If you’re not performing, come out and support our local stars as they light up the stage!
