In anticipation of the upcoming 2024 Stevens County Fair, organizers have announced a major enhancement to off-site parking, making it easier and more convenient for fairgoers to enjoy the festivities without worrying about parking hassles.

Building on last year’s efforts to streamline parking, this year’s fair will feature additional free parking lots at two new locations: the Grandstay and Hudson Inn along with the Morris Area School Parking lot. This expansion not only provides more parking options but also offers a safer alternative for those planning to stay overnight and avoid late-night driving.

The highlight of this parking upgrade is the introduction of two shuttle services that will operate between 4:00 pm and Midnight on both Friday and Saturday. These shuttles will depart from the designated parking lots approximately every 15 minutes, ensuring a seamless and efficient transportation experience for attendees. The drop-off point at gate #3 near the Dairy barn promises easy access to various attractions at the fairgrounds.

Generous sponsors have contributed to improving the drop-off site by adding additional concrete infrastructure, further enhancing the convenience and accessibility of the shuttle service. Best of all, the fair shuttle is free for all riders, making it an attractive option for families and individuals looking for a hassle-free way to visit the fair. To guide fairgoers to the park-and-ride lots and shuttle pickup points, informative signs will be strategically placed throughout the area, along with a detailed pickup schedule available on the fair’s official website, stevenscountyfair.org.

Organizers are committed to monitoring the shuttle’s usage and may consider expanding the service’s hours and days in 2025 based on demand and feedback from attendees.

For those who prefer to park directly at the fairgrounds, free parking is available at the Lee Center lot and Gate #5 on the south end of the grounds. Additionally, a golf cart shuttle will be operating during peak hours from the south Gate #5 lot, making it easier for visitors to navigate the fairgrounds.

Fairgoers with accessibility needs will find four designated handicap parking areas conveniently located near gates #5, the north Lee Center lot, and along County Rd 22 between gates #3 and #4.

With these thoughtful upgrades and accommodations, the 2024 Stevens County Fair promises not only an exciting lineup of events and attractions but also a stress-free and enjoyable experience for all attendees August 6 – 11th.
